there were lots of temple/palaces. 

Cool Stairs!

these stairs played a note for each step. it was fun walking up and down this flight of stairs.

actually, it was just a boat that took you for a tour around the lake so you could catch a glimpse of mt. fuji, but not today with all that fog.

Not sure if this was the bullet train or not, but it went fast. 

View from the hotel room

Here's a parital view from the hotel room, there was more ocean. of note here is that i could see the outdoor hotspring baths. i was looking out and saw a nekkid man airing himself, needless to say, i'm traumatized. 

Now it's a bedroom

the fairies of the hotel came and made beds while we were at dinner! so magical. 

The awesome view

Not the view from the hotel room, but still part of the hotel. the lower white building was where we had breakfast, which had a pretty view of the waterfall rock thingie 

Traditional room

that's the entire hotel room, minus the small closet called the bathroom. the view was awesome at least. 

The love rock!

If you can walk from the opposite rock to this rock with your eyes closed, then you'll find your true love soon. if you don't, then it's gonna be awhile til you do.

Mmmm, cereal

Yay, pretty much all the hotels we stayed at had cereal of some sort (all tasty), but this restaurant actually had the boxes instead of a giant dispenser. 

Oooh, waterfront restaurant!

If you overlook the fuzziness, you'll see that there are geisha at the table! how awesome!
